Privacy Policy

How we collect, use, protect, and share your information.

Last Updated: August 2026

This policy explains how TechMonster (the operator of techmonster.dev and our official social media presences) collects, uses, and protects your personal information. For who we are, Terms of Service, refund policy, disclaimers, and trademark notice, see our Legal & Terms page.

Information We Collect

We may collect the following types of information:

  • Personal Information: Name, email address, phone number, work authorization status, resume/CV, and other details you provide via contact forms or program applications
  • Payment Information: Billing details, payment method (processed securely through third-party payment processors)
  • Technical Data: IP address, browser type, device information, and usage analytics
  • Cookies: Session cookies, analytics cookies, and preference cookies

How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

  • Provide and improve our services
  • Process program enrollments and payments
  • Communicate with you about services, updates, and opportunities
  • Evaluate applications for training programs or employment
  • Analyze website traffic and user behavior
  • Comply with legal obligations

Data Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with:

  • Service Providers: Payment processors, email services, analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics)
  • Legal Requirements: When required by law or to protect our rights
  • Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets

Practice Exercises

The practice exercises at techmonster.dev/learn/practice run entirely in your browser. The code you write is compiled and executed by JavaScript on this page; it is never uploaded to us, and no account is needed to use them.

  • What is stored: your unfinished code, which exercises you have solved, and which hints you revealed — kept in your browser’s local storage under the key tm.practice.v1.
  • Where it is stored: on your device only. It is not sent to TechMonster, is not linked to any account, and is not visible on your other devices.
  • Removing it: the “Clear them” link on the practice index deletes it, as does clearing site data in your browser.

Program Accounts

The Program (techmonster.dev/program) is an account-based surface. When you sign in and use it, we process:

  • Account identity: the email address, name and phone number you provide at sign-up, and — if you sign in with GitHub — your GitHub username, which we use to provision repositories. We never receive your GitHub or Google password.
  • Program activity: your track requests and the notes you attach, advisor decisions and reasons, the names of repositories created for you, and a timestamped activity log of these events.
  • Where it is stored: on TechMonster-operated servers (the sign-in service and the program backend). Sign-in sets session cookies under the /auth/ path of this site, used only to keep you signed in.
  • Sharing with GitHub: to provision your project we create a private repository in the TechMonster GitHub organization and invite your GitHub account to it. GitHub processes that under its own terms and privacy policy. We share no email address with the provisioning workflow.
  • Email: we email you about your requests, decisions and repository setup, and notify advisors of new requests.
  • Deletion: you can ask us to delete your program account and data using the contact details below; repository deletion in GitHub is included on request.

The browser-only statement on the WorkPulse, RentalPulse, FBARReady and QuoteReady pages ("no personal information is transmitted to or stored on TechMonster.dev servers") applies to those tools only, and the practice exercises are browser-only in the same way. The Program is a separate, account-based surface and is described by this section.
